While the WICB appreciates the Media’s desire to provide their readers, listeners and viewers with the best possible coverage of matches under its auspices, a number of guidelines have been established for the issue of media credentials.

The WICB appreciates, in advance, the Media’s co-operation in this regard.

The media accreditation system, like any other, is designed to provide credentialled personnel with a controlled environment in which they can work as efficiently and as effectively as possible.

Accreditation is the method of providing access to match venues for all working media personnel.

The media credentials will expire on December 31, 2017. It will grant you access to all WICB matches and ancillary events during this period (except the Caribbean Premier League, whose organizers issue separate media credentials for that tournament only).

NRH media personnel credentialled last year still in possession of their media credential, need not re-apply. If however, you have lost or misplaced your media credential, the cost of producing a replacement will be US $50.

The WICB expects to receive a high number of applications and a successful application for media credentials cannot guarantee a work station for each credentialled NRH media person in the Venue Media Centre.

Non-rights holding TV and radio applicants should note that the WICB will not be issuing media credentials for technical staff unless it is absolutely necessary.

Please note, a media priority order may be established if demand for seats in any Venue Media Centre outweighs capacity. This order, similar to the list used at most international cricket events, will be established by the WICB, which will have sole control over the process.

No more than five staffers (including photographers) will be issued NRH media credentials for each media company.

NRH media credentials allow access to Zones 1, 2 and 3 at each venue. This permits the holder general access to:

1. the match venue,

2. the stands and concession areas, and

3. the venue media centre.

In addition to general media access, photographers have been granted Zone 4 access. This permits the holder boundary-side access only to the field of play.

Further details of media access will be provided in the WICB Essential Information Handbook for the series to be distributed to holders of WICB NRH media credentials at a later date.

As part of the application process, you will need to email the following:

1.         A completed application form (see attachment);

2.         A passport-sized colour, headshot photograph in front of a neutral background (.jpg file between 50KB and 500KB in size). NOTE: Applicants should not send photographs wearing headgear, sunglasses or any other item that may obstruct their faces (See accompanying photo guidelines); and

3.         A letter of assignment from your editor (.jpg or .pdf file not more than 500KB) – applications not supported by assignment letters will NOT be processed.

Please e-mail all completed applications to WICB Media:

All applicants are reminded that it is important that applications are made with the applicant’s individual e-mail address and not that of the sports desk or sports editor or a generic company e-mail address, as vital information regarding media credentials will be sent to this address.

The deadline for receipt of applications is: FRIDAY, MARCH 17.

Late applications will not be acknowledged.
